Sunspot AR-11967 (formerly AR-1944 - see previous picture)

Sunspot AR-11967 crackles flares of class C and M, with eruption of plasma. This shows how much energy is still present in the magnetic field of this active region, which although less extensive than a solar rotation ago, it is still able to manufacture major flares and coronal plasma to expel.
